Would you like to be a more effective learner?
Would you like a magic potion to help you learn more, more often?
Wonder is the seed of knowledge.
Questions to Ponder
How often do I ask questions about my surroundings?
How often do I notice a sense of wonder in my life?
Choose to assume less and ask more today.
Purposefully do something that gives you a sense of wonder or awe today.
As individuals most of us move through our day, focused on our task list which leaves few chances for us to find (or even notice) the things that might bring us wonder. Yet we admire children for their vast ability to learn quickly. When making that comparison, consider who has the most wonder, curiosity and awe in their lives . . . you or the kids?
It’s not a coincidence that they learn faster then we do.
As leaders we are typically wanting to coach and encourage people to be growing, developing and learning. Perhaps a key we have been missing is creating a sense of wonder.
Do yourself a favor; find more wonder in your life. And, as Francis says, you will be planting the seeds of knowledge, learning and growth.
