A magazine, Kevin? Could you be any lower tech?
Actually, I’m not talking paper and ink, delivered by your mail carrier; and I’m not talking Better Homes and Garden either.
I’m talking about a brand-new, digitally-delivered magazine that will actually be most useful when used through an app. We’ll call it a Appazine (OK, maybe no one but me will call it that).
Combine the wisdom and expertise of the Association for Talent Development with the goal to help Chief Talent Development Officers succeed, and you get this new “magazine”, called CTDO (Chief Talent Development Officer). Here is what the Association says about it:
CTDO (Chief Talent Development Officer) is a magazine for talent development executives developing the next generation of talent. This dynamic content written for C-suite leaders provides a high-level look at the top trends in talent development, and offers practical solutions to burning challenges in the field.
I’ve reviewed the debut issue and I have to say, I respectfully disagree with their description.
They didn’t say anything wrong, they just undersold what they are delivering. Yes, they are writing for a C-suite level audience; but there are far more people that will find this resource valuable.
If you care about the talent development in your organization, regardless of the part of the business you work in, I urge you to subscribe.
If you want to have a bigger picture view of your business, regardless of role, I urge you to subscribe.
The first issue features a variety of articles that will be useful to any leader who cares about developing their workforce and preparing them for future success (and the success of the business).
The call it a magazine; it is well laid out and designed, but it is free and digital.
Whatever you call it; I call it a valuable resource for leaders who care about the development of talent in their organizations.
