This week’s Resource Recommendation is It’s Not How Good You Are, It’s How Good You Want to Be by Paul Arden.
A couple of weeks back I was at LAX waiting for my red eye flight home. I had delivered a workshop session at a conference, attended a reception and after a full day was going to fly home.
I had a bag full of work, a couple of books and my Kindle. So I did what I often do in an airport with time on my hands.
I went into the bookstore.
I walked out with three books (which is ridiculous when you see how many books are on my reading stack). I went to the gate and promptly read this book.
The whole thing.
It isn’t War and Peace, so I wasn’t up all night; however, some of the things in the book could keep you up all night thinking.
Written by a famous British advertising executive, it is written from a marketing perspective, but it’s really for anyone who wants to think about themselves in new and exciting ways and wants some ideas for how to advance more quickly towards their goal.
It is light on words and heavy on design. It is fun. It is different. It is inspiring.
I loved it, and I bet you will too.
