I had the pleasuree of speaking to the Cincinnati Chapter of the OD Network on Tuesday night. One of the smart, passionate people I met there was LaTasha Brown (@Oshkoshtash), a doctoral student. After she followed me on Twitter, I checked out her blog. I’m glad I did, because I found this gem of a post “When was the Last Time You . . .”
She asks, when was the last time you tooted your own horn, Dizzy Gillespie style?
In the short post she encourages us to celebrate ourselves.
I couldn’t agree more. She isn’t (nor am I) suggesting a “puffed chested, holier than thou” mentality. Rather we both encourage you to be passionate about you.
This advice certainly helps us build our confidence, resilience and will make us happier and healthier.
This advice will also make you a far more effective leader. Once you realize that you are in fact Remarkable, you can live from that believe in terms continuing to improve your skills and radiating that same feeling to others.
Be passionate today about yourself. Be passionate about your potential. Celebrate who you are and help others do the same.
